From 10 July, Vietnam Railways updates several details on train boarding passes by removing the displayed fare. The change supports flexible pricing and a more modern ticketing process.

Why the fare is no longer printed
Railway fares are now adjusted more flexibly based on purchase time, departure time, seat class, passenger group and promotional policies. Because the final fare can depend on many factors, removing the fare from the boarding pass helps align printed information with current sales practices.
The update is also part of a wider digital transformation process in railway ticketing.
What information remains on the boarding pass
Important travel details continue to appear on the boarding pass. These include ticket ID, departure station, arrival station, train number, departure date and time, coach number, seat number, seat class, ticket type, passenger name and identity document information.
Passengers should check these details carefully before going to the station and contact support quickly if any information is incorrect.
What passengers should do
Keep your booking confirmation, payment receipt and e-ticket information available if you need to review the fare paid.
At the station, use the boarding pass mainly to verify train, coach, seat and passenger details.
